The Gymnasium at Hurlston Hall combines a friendly atmosphere with cutting edge technology to create a vibrant and positive environment in which to achieve your goals.
The spacious, air conditioned Gymnasium caters for fitness enthusiasts of any level. It is fully equipped with cardiovascular and resistance machinery by True© and Force Fitness Systems, separate free weight and core stability training areas, a Keiser Zone offering precise air pressure resistance training and also the very latest Body Shaker© vibration technology.
TV entertainment is available on plasma screens throughout and each cardio-vascular machine is individually connected to the internal music system offering a choice of radio or CD, as well as sound access to all TV channels.
Our team of fitness experts are always available to offer advice and guidance on any aspect of the Gymnasium. They can also assist you in developing a health and training programme tailored to meet your exact requirements.
The comfort of our members and guests is of paramount importance at all times and as such, our separate Ladies and Gentlemen's changing rooms are furnished to a very high standard.
Each facility contains personal lockers, plasma screen entertainment and hairdryers as well as a separate hot shower room finished with Slip Stop treatment, to help prevent accidents and promote hygiene.
A stand up Sun Shower tanning unit is also available in each changing room for a small fee. Crisp, freshly laundered towels are available from reception for a small fee.
Equipment
Body Shaker© vibration technology is the very latest addition to the gymnasium. Previously used by Russian athletes and cosmonauts, Body Shaker offers a full body workout in just 10 minutes, burning off as many as 360 calories in the process.
Through stimulating involuntary muscle contraction these machines provide a whole host of benefits, from anti ageing and weight loss, to improved metabolism and circulation. They are also excellent for assisting with rehabilitation from injury and injury prevention.
Keiser Zone Equipment
The revolutionary Keiser Air series harnesses pneumatic technology to provide smooth, lo impact resistance training for all parts of the body. Weights can be defined to the nearest pound offering a precise, noise free workout, particularly suitable for older trainers and those rehabilitating from injury.
Users can change load settings during a set and all reps are counted on a digital display ensuring total accuracy in performance.
